The four charters

Built for trust before automation. These are the four commitments behind Cull Me uP. They guide every product decision — and they are written here so they can be held to.

01

The Control Charter

Your selection lives with your files.

Cull Me uP never builds a proprietary catalog. Your selection lives with your files. Stars and color labels are written to XMP sidecars, which keep your ratings and labels portable across editors that read XMP. DxO-aware sidecar behavior is handled carefully where supported and validated.

If you stop using Cull Me uP tomorrow, your work is not trapped. It is in the folder, in the sidecar, where it has always been.

The Simple Light Table is always available — even if you cancel a Pro or Nala subscription. Your tools remain yours.

02

The Pricing Charter

Own the tools. Activate Nala when volume gets heavy.

Cull Me uP and Cull Me uP Pro are perpetual purchases. Your purchased tools remain yours, with perpetual use on the last compatible OS version. The features you bought will not be moved behind a future subscription paywall.

Nala Assist will be an optional subscription, because its assistance layer will keep evolving: better grouping, new heuristics, future AI-assisted workflows. The tools are yours. The evolving assistance is optional.

Early adopter pricing applies to the first purchase of Cull Me uP and Pro at launch. Trial and refund details are confirmed before launch. Purchases are handled through Apple's App Store.

03

The Update Charter

Honest version numbers. No silent moves.

Major versions are major versions, and you will know in advance which features they bring. Bug fixes and improvements ship in point releases at no additional cost.

If a feature you bought is ever moved into a paid tier, current owners keep their access to the original feature. Period.

The roadmap is public and dated. What we are exploring is labelled as such, not as a promise.

04

The Companion Charter

A working companion, not a judge.

Cull Me uP does not rate your photographs. Pro Insights reads your ratings and shows you patterns. When Nala arrives, it will suggest groups — never quality scores — and you will be able to override every one. The eye stays with the photographer.

No black-box AI scoring your frames. No cloud upload required for the cull. No rented tool you stop owning if you stop paying.

The product is built for photographers who want a faster cull — not photographers who want their decisions made for them.

The Light Table is yours. The Pro workflow is yours. The evolving assistance is optional.

"No rented tools" does not mean "no subscription, ever." It means the tools you should own are sold as tools. Cull Me uP and Cull Me uP Pro are perpetual purchases. Only the evolving assistance layer — Nala Assist — will be subscription-based, because its intelligence keeps changing.

That is the model. We think it is fair.
